International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST)—www.ICASTfishing.org— ASA is show producer of the premier trade show for the sportfishing industry and the largest showcase of fishing gear and accessories in the world. ICAST 2016 will be held July 12-15, 2015, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. This event annually hosts 11,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.
Sportfishing Summit — Every October ASA hosts the association’s annual business meeting and the nation’s leading sportfishing community networking event. The 2015 Sportfishing Summit will be held October 20-22, at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete’s Beach, Fla.

Federal Excise Tax on Sportfishing Equipment
If you pay the federal excise tax, ASA provides you a direct link to the IRS 2006 Field Directive
Federal Excise tax on the importation and manufacture of fishing and archery products, a reference guide containing a glossary of terms associated with the federal excise tax and a list of factors that define who should pay the tax, a scenarios document that illustrates various business models used in the industry and who is responsible for paying the excise tax under the listed scenarios.
Human Resources Support Services
The services of Human Resource Associates, guided by human resource expert Bill Cook, are available to all ASA members. Via phone or email, HRA provides expert advice on a wide-range of employment issues within 24 hours.
