The John J. Hildebrant Fishing Tackle Company was started by Alan’s grandfather, “Big John” Hildebrant in the 1890s. Alan and his brother, John, partnered in the management of the business for 30 years.

The company specialized in high quality and hand produced sportfishing spinners and lures that were shipped throughout the US and internationally, including Canada and Japan.

Alan is an American hero who flew 64 missions in a B26 across southern Europe in WWII before coming home and settling into the family business.
