Bulthuis was recognized for his extraordinary leadership and lifelong commitment to recreational fishing and the sportfishing industry.

Dave joined Costa in 2003 as Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining Costa, Dave was Director of Sales for Cape Fear Rod Company, which included the Fin Nor reel brand for many years. He was Director of Sales for Jones and Company in the outdoor industry. He also owned and operated his own agency, DL Bulthuis & Associates, for almost a decade, representing such companies as Reebok, Olin Ski and Dacor.

Dave’s leadership on the board of directors and as chairman of the board as well as chairman of the Government Affairs Committee, raised awareness and lead to important decisions regarding the trade show and fisheries policy.
