The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) fosters strong relationships with Members of Congress, conservation and recreation partners and state and federal government leaders to ensure that sportfishing interests are well represented when policy decisions are made.
Keep America Fishing® — www.KeepAmericaFishing.org — is the sportfishing industry’s angler advocacy program through which anglers can engage in advocacy, sign up to receive news and alerts about issues that impact recreational fishing and show their support by voicing their opinion. Keep Florida Fishing® is ASA’s Florida-based advocacy effort to help ensure that the “Fishingest” state in the union has clean water, abundant fisheries and access to both.
International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST)
ASA produces the world’s largest trade show for the sportfishing industry. ICAST 2018 will be held July 0 – 13,in the North/South Building at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. This event annually hosts 15,000 representatives from the global sportfishing community.
Sportfishing Summit — ASA hosts the association’s annual business meeting and the nation’s leading sportfishing community networking event. The 2018 Sportfishing Summit is being held Tuesday, October 9, through Friday, October 12, at the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms just outside Charleston, S.C.
Through a wide-range of media outlets, ASA keeps its members and the broader sportfishing community up-to-date on issues, events and activities that impact recreational fishing and the industry.
