Quarterly Fishing Tackle Imports Report 2025 Q3

This report presents fishing tackle imports by category for all countries that ship to the United States.

These data were collected from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), which reports trade data collected by the U.S. Census Bureau. All results represent the real customs value of landed tackle imports and have not been adjusted for inflation. Imports are presented on both an annual and quarterly basis to reveal trends and illustrate how the mix of imported fishing tackle has changed over time.

Highlighted Stats:

  • Fishing net imports are down 30% in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 2024, and down 13% year-to-date in 2025 compared to the same time in 2024.
  • Fishing hook imports are up 21% through the first three quarters of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
  • Imports of fishing reels priced $2.70 -$8.45 each are also up substantially this year, showing a 25% increase in Jan-Sep 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
