ADVOCACY: ASA is the leading voice for the recreational fishing industry. Our dedicated Government Affairs team works on federal and state issues that enhance our collective economy, protect against damaging legislation and make it easier for anglers to enjoy their time on the water.

MARKET INSIGHTS: ASA provides members with economic and market research to assist in making data-driven business decisions.

TRADESHOW: ASA is the producer of ICAST, the world’s largest tradeshow for the sportfishing market, which features 225,000 net square feet of exhibit space and has an annual attendance of over 15,000 industry professionals.

COMMUNICATION: Newsletters, press releases, social media and a video channel keep members informed on vital updates on the issues and policies that drive our industry forward.

ASA membership is available to for- and non-profit organizations in the recreational fishing and allied industries, including: manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, media and other industry partners.

Yes, only dues-paying members may exhibit at ICAST. To learn more about ICAST and how to exhibit, visit ICASTfishing.org.

The membership cycle follows ASA’s fiscal year: October 1 through September 30. We welcome new members at any time throughout the fiscal year.

Applying for membership is best done online. If you have questions about the process or how much your membership dues will cost, please contact Member Relations Manager Rob Russel.
Renewing Your Member Dues

Online is the easiest and quickest way to pay your member dues. You can also print an invoice from your company record.

Your username is your company ID number. If you don’t have your ID number, please contact Member Relations Manager Rob Russel.

Updating and maintaining your company record is a simple process and an essential one. Please carefully review all your company information and make changes as needed.
Please add or change company personnel that you want to receive our important member e-newsletters, news releases, critical advocacy action alerts, fisheries policy information, ICAST and annual meeting updates and more.
You can access your company record through your unique ID number and password.
Please add a contribution to Keep America Fishing and the FishAmerica Foundation when you’re paying your dues. Clean water, more fish and access to both are crucial to our industry’s future.

Please review and update your company record when renewing your membership dues. This includes official company contact and key company personnel such as Accounting and your trade show booth contact, if applicable. Any changes will automatically feed into our member relations database.
Please add or change other company personnel that you want to receive our important member e-newsletters, news releases, critical advocacy action alerts, fisheries policy information, ICAST and annual meeting updates and more.

ASA established Keep America Fishing as a way to give our nation’s anglers – over 50 million strong and growing – a voice in federal and state policy decisions and legislation that impact their time on the water.
Keep America Fishing is a place to learn about the issues we’re facing, unite our efforts as a community and present a strong voice.

The FishAmerica Foundation is the sportfishing industry’s fisheries conservation and research arm.
Through grants and direct funding, since 1984, the FishAmerica Foundation has invested more than $13 million in grassroots freshwater and saltwater fisheries restoration projects throughout the United States and Canada.
